Hours:

Main Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Food Pantry (open to all of Tazewell County-Please call ahead): Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon

Emergency food is available during office hours. Please call.

*Food Pantry: Tazewell County resident with Picture ID

PLEASE NOTE-All financial assistance programs are administered on a case-by-case basis, depending on funding. The following are general guidelines, but some flexibility is built in. Please call for a final screening.

*Back Rent Assistance: Applicant must have eviction notice, proof of hardship, and proof of income.

*First Month's Rent and/or Deposit: This funding is considered for those who are currently homeless; at risk of being homeless (friend or family member is kicking the person/family out, person/family is about to lose lodging for another reason, etc.); or in a crisis situation (domestic violence, aftermath of a fire or disaster, etc.). Please call for a screening.

*Electric/Gas Assistance: The applicant will need a disconnection notice and proof of income. The Salvation Army will sometimes consider old bills. Please call for further details.

*Water Assistance: Please call for screening.

*Vehicle Repairs: Vehicle must be insured; vehicle must be only means of transportation to get to work or medical appointments; and issue must be mechanical in nature (for example, not an air conditioner problem). The program is typically for those who are working, but other situations might be considered as funding allows.
